It features as a very risky sport and deadliest of all. Due to collapsing and other risks, many mountain climbers have lost lives as they try to climb mountains. The deadliest mountain on the earth is the Mont Blank Massif. It has a height of 15,782 ft and is the tallest peak in the Alpine range. Year in year out, climbers have been dying due to rocks slides and steep rocks. This is the mountain with the highest number of fatalities causing deaths to about 100 people per year. Since history, it has claimed lives of 6000 people. Thanks to the success of President Theodore Roosevelt who climbed it in 1886, the mountain is very popular.

Annapurna is the second mountain on the list. It has a height of above 26,246 ft. the Nepal Annapurna is the tallest peak that attracts climbers from everywhere. 191 people have successfully climbed this mountain since 1950. It has seen 60 people die as they try to reach the summit of Annapurna. it is referred as the most dangerous mount for those with 8000 meters peak.

Another mount under focus is the K2 which is the second highest in the world. The mount is located on the Pakistan-china border and boasts of 28,251 ft. It is comparatively easier to climb Kilimanjaro than to climb K2. This happens to be the case even on the easiest route where there are steep rocks, complicated glaciers and ice pillars that can collapse. This mountain has earned a bad reputation against female climbers. Among six climbers that tried to climb this mountain since 2003, five of the women died.

There is the Nanga Parbat which has bad name of the man eater. The mount is located in Pakistan and has a height of 26657ft. The mountain features an enormous range of ice and rock. It ranks as the number nine is height in the world and has the tallest mountain face. It has claimed the lives of 31 climbers by 1953.
