The next thing that you need to do is to clear water from your snorkel. You can do this effectively by raising the snorkel above the seal level. You then have to exhale through the tube forcefully and sharply, forcing the water out of the tube.
From time to time, you may notice that the waters are not removed entirely from the snorkel barrel; all that is there to be done is to breathe calmly and slowly until you have enough air to blast out the water.
While swimming, you need to do so at a steady, comfortable pace so that you can conserve your energy. You need to try as much as possible to streamline yourself while keeping your arms close to your body.
